Not sure about shorting being the problem this time. Yes CBA has been a chronic shorter, but the shorts are so tiny it is hard to see that being a primary reason for price weakness. Shorts have gone from around 5% this time last year to less than a % now. Yesterday 13% of the stock was shorted and the day before 2%. Very different to the 50 % shorting we were getting.
Anyway today is good - wish I knew why - maybe people recognising it is stupidly undervalued and coming back in? Of course that will probably bring sellers back who want to get out. I still think patience is the word.....
