    That's correct. I had a chat about this recently with my accountant and there's a principle "first come first served" when multiple buying and selling of shares. It's got its technical term in accounting world.
    Basically, say you first bought 15000 shares at $4. Then later bought another 15000 shares at $2 averaging $3. After that you sold 20000 shares. For tax purposes, you made a $1 loss on the first 15000 shares and $1 profit on the 5000 from the second lot.
