I was surprised to see it hold up yesterday as well. Whats the go with that?
Moving forward I cannot see this surviving in it's current format. It may have a chance as a broken up group but that means the loss making life insurance division will have to go for almost $0 value . The rest of it is convoluted because it looks like super funds have been supporting other sections of the business with over payment of fees. Looks like the AMP Bank has also been on the teat of the super funds by getting low cost cash to lend out to clients. Based on all of above and the regulatory costs in cleaning it up I am reducing my valuation guestimate to $1.50-$2.00.
I could be wrong but...
