I'm beasrish banks at the moment but have increased my position on CBA as my horizon is very long term. Taking a macro view of a couple of interest rate rises next year and beyond which should increase profitability. Interest rates cannot remain at these low levels in Australia. We are already seeing some capital flight due to this and worse would be the impact to inflation and borrowing cost (foreign) if our interest rates stayed this low.

See foreign direct investment number as it starting to curve downward, if capital flow numbers follow we are headed for something not very nice. Low growth, higher inflation kind of economic wackiness that the current RBA have no ammunitions against.
