    What you have written is perfectly valid.

    What I was trying to get at was from a sightly different perspective.

    The poster that I replied to stated that a religion was being attacked in a racist way.

    My point, however semantic, was that as a religion describes a certain group of people with a certain set of beliefs a racist attack on such a group is impossible.

    This is because a race is not defined in the manner above, but as a certain place of origin or genus of a particular individual/group of people.

    The two terms are fundamentally different and do not share a meaning in such a way that would make a racist attack on a religion possible.
