GZ if you short a stock and it goes belly up, if there is nothing left after the creditors are finished with it your position is a 100% gain.
After the fall-out if holders get say 5cents in the dollar back you'll get a 100% gain minus that consideration. Settlement is after liquidation which in some cases could take years!
