I agree with everything you say and I honestly hope you make a killing out of it.
Contrary to comments by some other members I am not a down ramper. I am more concerned about long term performance and the underpinning foundations required for this. Remember that these people are paid millions of dollars! To that end, I believe that ALL management teams need to be held accountable for their performance and when they fail due to ineptitude they need to be held accountable for this. AMP has lost about 40% of market value but the dividend is pretty decent for the time being (like you said).
Big companies like AMP rarely disappear completely and on the balance of things the chances of them turning it around seem quite possible. Maybe you might have to become an investor for a while until AMP improves as opposed to a speculator.
