re: airfares to australia - croupier the moron Alan,

If you can't see what the problem is, I am afraid the sharemarket must be a very very scary place for you.

Strangely, we don't get Europeans here for a week, because of the time, and distance, and the discomfort that it creates. Nothing, absolutley nothing to do with the price, which, as it happens is cheaper from London, on a return basis only. From the mainland, it is a lot more expensive. Instead, European tourists, and Americans to a lesser extent, leave a trip to Australia to latter in life, for one big trip. This is normally three to four weeks in length (big for them), which can be verified from the tourism commission if you want to check.

Talk to a few people in the industry, maybe, just maybe, you will find out what is happening.

Qantas controls the Oz-US route certianly, with smaller carriers taking the slack, The reason why this is an extremely profitable run is the higher percentage of business travel - again the source is tourism commission and the company itself.

There is no monopoly on the London-OZ however, and to say so is very naive.

I am travelling to NZ in May, paid $310 return. If you can't plan ahead Alan, don't whinge about the price. As the old saying goes, failure of planning on your part shouldn't mean a crisis on part. Look around. Go to Emirates (the best airline in the world), shoot over for $450 os absolute luxury.

Research things, and know what you are doing and saying, you will get on better in life mate.

As for angry pills, no, not on them yet, just have a bad reaction to whingers and fools.
