okay fair enough mick, no need to apologise we all get fired up sometimes, all I can say is that in my experience Qantas is not good value and they do have a strangehold if not a monopoly on many of the long haul routes. I travel to NZ a fair bit at short notice for a couple of days at a time and they absolutely gouge the customer and I travel economy. If you can plan ahead to save a lot of money all the better but Qantas exerts undue influence on the govt (in my opinion) to keep out other carriers and keep its fat profit margins intact. I can't blame them I would do the same but I feel no loyalty to them whatsoever even though I am a frequent flyer with them.
