OK .. my interpretation i.e. reading between the lines ... of such a design parameter, and perhaps even the reason the RCT was conducted in Thailand is because long term treatment of cART's may not prove the efficacy of BIT225 in quite the same way as those not npreviously treated with cART's and potentially in various lengths of tretment i.e. month/years/decades
I imagine it would be challenging to find a cohort of 36 cART naive people living with HIV in Australia all willing to participate in a reseach study
I'm not sure exactly what "not quite the same way" is, although I have some theories - I must remain content to await the peer reviewed published article of this research to find out !!!
