The 2004 study is important due to the fact it was the pilot study that provided a statistically significant proof of concept in humans prior to the development of xanamem. The guys at edinburgh and the BOD all saw this as sufficient evidence to progress into clinical trials. I have a lot of faith in their collective knowledge to see this data as very promising.
