Rumour has it that assays are better than expected. Company is pulling out all stops to be as secretive about this announcement as possible.
Most people focused on the following in their last announcement :
" In summary, drilling has confirmed Titan as an exciting major iron-oxide, copper-gold
mineralised system and validated earlier comparisons with Olympic Dam models. Three of the
new holes, TI 4, 5 and 6, and TI 2 (extension), tested the east and north-eastern flanks of the main
geophysical anomaly. The holes intersected geologically favourable hematite-rich (relative to
magnetite) host rocks, strong alteration and encouraging evidence of sulphide zoning (pyrite,
chalcopyrite and bornite). In one hole, TI 6, strong copper (chalcopyrite) mineralisation (visually
estimated at 3% to 5% Cu) was intersected over a narrow interval (approx. 4m). "
However, most discarded another important and very pertinent section within their last announcement being :
" Furthermore, such an extension is interpreted to have possibly preserved the top of the
mineralised system beneath the Pandurra Formation from subsequent erosion. This is a highly
attractive exploration target as the upper, cooler, more oxidised and potentially much higher
grade parts of this extension to the system would be possibly still present. The Olympic Dam ore
body is similarly interpreted to have been partially eroded, but the precise style and extent of
mineralisation which could be expected if this upper zone has been preserved at Titan is
unknown. "
The above was summised from drill hole TI3 which seemed to be the least relevant hole in their drill program.
Do they really know what is sitting beneath that Pandurra Formation ????
TAS is a bargain at the current s.p level.
