Blogs... thr price of fertilizer has pretty much gone up by a factor of X4 in the last few years.It's OK while farmers are getting $4oo a tonne for wheat,thats happened because of drought etc.My experience has been that when production 'normalises' the price of grain gets pushed down.That may not happen with bio-fuel etc being in demand ,but it's getting to the point where wheat production costs may easily exceed $200-$250 a tonne and that will surely feed down into the food chain ,it has to.Just putting another part of the debate in for what it's worth.
