they've killed uou. The spread means your stop probably got hit. They're all b@stards. They WANT you to use stops for this reason. Folks here will tell you how essential it is to use them but the CFD guys definitely chase them especially if you are holding a big possie. Give it up and move on. I bought a huge silver contract long when it was $6 with cmc that would be worth millions now except for this - and I have dozens of similar stories until I learnt my lesson. I stopped using stops and then I stopped using CFDs.
