I assume you are talking about the interview with Dick Warburton who is on the board of taxation and has been for 8 YEARS and was one of the main people behing putting together the libs so called tax reforms

NOTHING TO DO WITH RUDD DIRECTLY appart from I believe the new Lab government reappointed Warburton to this advisory position.

Warburton agrees with the government and just about everyone else in business and who has to deal with the current tax laws that there needs to be a total overhaul of the tax system

Something Warburton had been trying to get the liberal government to do.

Warburton was and correctly stating that there can not be a total review and overhaul of the tax system without reviewing GST and the GST rate AS PART OF THE TOTAL TAX REVIEW.

And Warbuton was stating he is disappointed the government is NOT prepared to include the rate of GST as part of this total reform

He clearly stated he was not making a recommendation as to what the GST rate should be, JUST THAT GST AND THE RATE NEEDS TO BE PART OF THE REVIEW AND IF REQUIRED REFORM
