yes Plough - you are probably correct - I can't remember exactly what I thought - but, more than likely I would have thought that Trump had no chance of winning - or very little - because I didn't at that time think that even Americans would be that stupid --
a. I was wrong -- and
b. I certainly didn't know that Vladimir was going to cast a lot of votes
So, yes, I am no expert - but, as you can see in my post - I didn't give an opinion - all I did was to say basically was 'why would you trust bookies or polls now' --
In all honesty - the exercise so far for me of Trump being President has been alarmingly valuable - it has proven beyond any doubt now to me that
A. Americans are in fact - extraordinarily stupid
B. their political system has more dangerous holes in it than a rusty kitchen sieve
C. They have the most gutless mob in Congress now than I would have believed possible.
D. Never did I expect to see such a high public figure in my life to be pretty much the best example of narcissism and the Dunning-Kruger effect. I have seen them before - but, I thought - na, surely to god, people like that will be weeded out at this time in history before they make it to the very top - on that - I was dead wrong.
E. Proven beyond all shadow of doubt also is that when you see right wing republican Trump supporters - that ----- the smarter you are, the dumber that stupid people think you are
F. my years of observation about the stupidity and insanity of the human race from a long time back have now reemerged with clear evidence - I should not have shied away from what I saw and assumed and gave us humans the benefit of the doubt
G. I am now 100% totally mystified how we, the species, have made it though this much time ------------ I don't know any species on earth this dumb that hasn't died out
