I read Friedmans article this morning's paper.
Some of his articles are spot on....others come across as defeatist.....let's amke peace.....give 'em what they want and we'll live happiliy ever after.
Real life has proven that it doesn't work like that.
Israel moved to UN approved borders....The same UN that the Arabs use when it suits them.
Has that stopped Hizbullah coming up with the Sheba Farms pretext? The UN knew about the Sheba Farms yet still publicly stated that Israel had kept to her commitment and that she was on her side of the border.
Did that stop Hizbullah and Syria, the real pupeteers from creating havoc now and again at the Lebanese border?
Oslo.....the peace of the brave bulldust.....all the while Arafat was plotting and arming....even though he had commited the Pallies to peaceful negotiations. Isael trusted him and to pacify world opinion, even armed his police and militia in the hope that he would bring law and order.
He used Sharons visit to the Temple Mount which was sanctioned by the way......as an excuse to start an immediate Intifada......spontaneous my butt.......It was planned and only a pretext was required.
So Thomas can give all the advise he wants......and I think he means well, and unlike you ....does not present his arguments as an anti semite.....despite the fact that he may disagree with the State......
No matter what he writes, Israel will have to do what's in her best interests.
One thing we are sure of....Israel's best interests are the furthest thing from your warped mind Fullguy.
