I can't vote for the remuneration package at this stage. It puzzles me that they came to the last AGM with the same package that got knocked back - strike 1. They will turn up again at this years AGM, and assuming that they don't have any off-take signed between now and then, I expect that shareholders will also knock this one back. My opinion, they probably know that the package isn't going to get approved... its pure arrogance and greed.
I think that Greg has to go, regardless of whether its been his fault or not that deals haven't been done. He's had 2 and a half years. We need somebody who can think outside of the box...maybe get a deal done with a major, or more equity from a customer. Either way, this sit and wait for the 'market to come to us' attitude just isn't cutting it. Before we know it the only developments will be being done by majors and/or sovereigns who can afford to build without long term contracts in place. The future looks to be that deals will be done for much shorter than 20 year periods, and we'll be left out.
The clock is ticking and the window is slowly but surely closing......
