If you think Maths is simple and its only about this x that = that. Then I'm sure I could possibly get you a site visit.. and show you exactly how that isn't correct... processing isn't that simple mate... and no I'm not trying to disparage you, but explain to you that things vary hourly... two hourly. Some processes half an hour can change an entire final % grade or target...

This is why you have hourly of two hourly sampling routines which get tested in the lab and then either fire assays are done or titrations to get the final grade % be it gold, iron ore, magnetite, copper, zinc, lead... nickel/co/sc... they all follow the same basic principles of processing.. principles are like laws.. you may need to change and vary them from time to time depending on certain processing circumstances but the basic law applies..

For instance.. my job now is Process control room operator. I sit in front of 8 screens and run the control room, which is a processing program that directly runs every piece of equipment associated to my sites processing plant. Pumps, conveyors, ag mills, ball mills, thickeners, and many other pieces of equipment..

It's all run by me.. and the other control room operators and a team of process engineers. Who give us our daily targets to run the plant to achieve those final % grade of product...

Every two hours that may change the final grade.. either to low or to high, depending on what mining is feeding us into the mill, to much silica or to much trans ore..

So my job is to adjust the milling circuit as required to balance and achieve the desired final grade. +/- a 0.5% variance.

So that may require me to either slow mills down to achieve a better grind and throughput, or to tighten up my crusher gap to get a better grind and push more KW's of power to liberate the ore better.. so it grinds easier in the mills.

Or add / reduce water into my magnetic separators to help the separation of non magnetite and magnetic ore..

Long story short fab.. processing isn't simple.. even basic iron ore plants still struggle getting it right.. trust me worked at a few..

And when you start adding in chemical processes like Gold/Copper Nickel/Cobalt, Vanadium you start a whole string of more complicated processes like chemical resinances in tanks, lead times in batching tanks, dosing equations.. you name it..

So again, if you have questions that's cool, but dont act like an arse to get them...
