Agree, if Lynas has a good report with record numbers it will do a couple of things of things. First of all it will bring a lot of attention to Lynas. Lynas has been sailing full speed ahead and in spite of all of the political noise it is likely that the QR will be record news. Good news will spread fast catching investors eyes as well as the analysts who are just waiting for this stock to break out of the political morass...

The second thing record earning will do is to bring attention to Malaysia. Record earnings will paint Lynas as a thriving "tier one" company which is fast becoming an important part of the Malaysia economy. Also Lynas just may be seen as savior of sorts to the rest of the world depending on Chinese retaliation using RE's as a cannon in the current trade war.

All of this may generate quite a bit of interest in the US given the fact that RE's and tariffs are being watched closely. It is quite possible that the Wall Street Journal or Forbes will do a big fat feature article on Lynas and rare earths which may not paint Malaysia in the best light. It sure would be an interesting article and I'm sure there will be the requisite interviews with the Dr. and Yeo and why Malaysia has come one eighty degrees in it's treatment of Lynas.

Malaysia may (or may not) have the opportunity to deflect or correct the Lynas situation by making the investigation as succinct and transparent as possible. Regardless, a investigation will not overturn the many professional agency's conclusions made in the earlier days and really serve as a waste of time (unless you are Amanda who is actively looking at other options).

Anyway, It would be pretty cool seeing a reporter from the Wall Street Journal interview Fuziah...

Just as a side note, there has been been no posting activity on the SMSL website since May of this year. Additionally I am not aware of any scheduled protests or other opposition action to demonstrate against Lynas. Interesting how things crumble over time... JMHO...
