Julia Gillard received star treatment by the survivors of horrific sexual and other abuse at the hands of some in positions of power. Thats a fact and the subject of the thread! Now you equate marriage breakdowns etc with the sexual abuse of children.

Please if your moral compass abhors relationships that break down or instances of perceived infidelity thats fine. However, to equate that to those that sexually abused children is a stretch imo. Australia has a massive marriage breakdown rate and thats just a fact of life and it has happened to politicians from both sides of politics. No-one is immune to that possibility.

However, on a thread stating the fact of how receptive and grateful the victims of institutional child abuse were towards Julia Gillard to be turned into something else is not what ought be the case imo. To the victims, Julia is the hero that finally did something. Thats the message here! If you want to go into a morality drive about relationships and infidelity then start another thread. You can then analyse the millions of circumstances in Australia where such immorality has occurred. Dont think though it’s quite a legitimate political topic though.
