Thx for the local feedback davis…. Phelps should be a good local member when she works out how to use her vote in a hung parliament.  It might only last a couple of months before it is a substantial Labor majority parliament.  I can see why Phelps was a near ideal candidate.  She will have the ability, personality and contacts to work with both sides of the floor.

Shame in a way about Sharma.  He was an outstanding Liberal candidate who one day will get elected and make a contribution.  I think John Setka summed up Sharma's predicament when he tweeted a photo of Sharma glancing anxiously at Morrison and captioned it "That look when you wish you had stood as an independent"
