they get themselves into trouble with poor decisions and poor risk management and folks want to cry about how unfair they have been treated
the problem with the apologists case for ANZ is that the reality is ANZ got themselves into this position all by themselves
they can try and blame everyone but themselves but the truth is they did this to themselves and the fact that they did reflects on the depth and quality of ANZs management team
ANZ have totally trashed their reputation in the market place and Mike Smith admits this fact
ANZ are purely and simply an exceptionally poorly managed bank, poor management, poor systems, process and risk management, poor decision making and a battered brand
the facts speak for themselves
making excuses for them isnt going to change this reality
