Non reliance on coal/gas is worth a premium to a large number of communities so I don't see it as a question if 'if' but 'how big' the VRFB market will be, especially given its long life, safety profile and high reliability it will be the favourite backup power source for large buildings with critical infrastructure like hospitals, banks, etc. Once it gets that sort of traction then the rest of the market will want them because everybody wants the best (even if sometimes they don't need it).
