I noticed an item in the recently announced Quarterly Report called Dividend Policy :
"Dividend Policy
The Board approved a formal Company Dividend Policy of distributing 40-50% of net profit after tax to shareholders, subject to forecast capital requirements and available franking credits."
The last half yearly 7 cent dividend to shareholders cost the company $13 million. Methinks a policy to distribute 40-50% of net profit as dividend would result in much fatter divvies - maybe double?????? Or am I being overly optimistic?
