We were talking about happiness. I've asked to look at a work written by a fairly great mind who has a damned good understanding of the condition. It would certainly not hurt you to read him. Herodotus was a historian who travelled very widely and gave his impressions about what he saw. Therein he tells a good (real) tale about what happened to him. It's a great lesson.
You've asked me to read the New Testament. Mate, I know it VERY well! I read it, just like I read Herodotus and Homer and Dickens and Dostoyevsky and Camus and Tolstoy and a whole lot of others. Good book the New Testament, good also is the Old one but they are books: just like all the others. Not written by some holy spirit because holy spirits, voodoo spirits and gods of the upper or nether world don't exist. Only people. So, read people. Enjoy them as people not as sacred beings!
