I believe both are records for 2017/2018

ASX200 index currently lower than it was 23 May 2008. Oct 2007 was all time high of 6700. Unlike the US we have not gone parabolic.

Its respecting it's channel so you'd hope about 5500 would be the low. Lower than that and things might get really ugly. Next 1 or 2 weeks will tell.

IMF October Reports dont paint a rosy picture but not too gloomy either.
