    That article is very interesting but it needs to be put in context.

    I emailed the FIRB ([email protected]) earlier in the week and was pleased with the response).

    Essentially the FIRB is look at preventing exploitation of Aust resources . . . but letting an Australian company become insolvent is not in the national interest.

    Given the approach is not hostile and very much welcomed by AED and its shareholders my understanding is that the deal would move forward. Everyone's interests here are alligned.
