No, the last mention of him was in 1865 in a newspaper article in Newcastle saying he was at the "Araluen diggings", it's fairly sure he came to the Wollongong area after that but no records can be found. I have found out I have hundreds of relatives though in the Illawarra and Newcastle named either Campbell or Chapman - none of them can find where he passed away though. Makes for a good topic at the get togethers..
