Hello to Milesg and Baron1 my Western Suburb Neighbours :)
after reading all the posts i cant help thinking of that buffet saying -
be greedy when others are fearful and fearful when others are greedy.
After renovating a bathroom recently in Bullcreek i found under the vanity a west Australian newspaper dated April 17 1978, (best paper i have read in years) The most interesting things in this paper besides the 2 double page winfield and B&H advertisements and the new kingswood with state of the art Radial Tuned Suspension, was the property section, now remember all the "crisisess" that have occurred during the last 30years...
Block - Hillarys, outstanding ocean views, 23m full frontage, quility homes surrounding, Price $15000 ono, Alam Barnett and Assoc (even had his after hours phone number attached)
City Beach - they mention in a long add about a 3bed house with uninterrupted ocean views in PRIME position 4 x 2, for 70k...
blocks in Swanview, Beldon, Canningvale, 10-15k
The point i am making here is that if you can hold on during the bad times and even pick up a bargain or two, there are some big gains to be had, remembering that houses are only supposed to double every 7-10 years, its very simple, houses have historically gone up in the long term... -with or without crisisess-
