    Sorry GSAD -

“Comparing these results to our Australian Breathe Easy study, we see the result of differingclinical practices between Australia and the United States, driven by a substantially differenthealthcare and insurance system. We also see a large number of patients (33%) requiring a thirdadjudicator, illustrating the difficulty in making a clinical diagnosis even with access to all thetests available in a modern tertiary hospital.”

Imagine this, you are in a busy clinical setting and you consider using a device that is unreliable in 20 to 50% of cases and has a 1 in 3 chance of requiring a third test to prove diagnosis - seriously you would do another test when a better one which is more accurate can be done. A busy clinician just won't waste his or her time.

Here are my only positives - 1. could be useful in a university training setting for research trials etc, or 2. considering how some of the United States Health Insurance Companies manage their members, they may insist that this type of testing is provided to those on lower levels of insurance. If they test positive with the App, then that is justification for proceeding to a more expensive diagnostic procedure such as a chest x-ray / MRI depending on the member's level of cover. The latter being the only real possibility of revenue. HOWEVER it is going to require someone to do a big sell as a doctor or nurse with a stethoscope can do just as accurate a job as the App can.
