Wonder if it still the case if one is holding more than a parcel/lot of the share? Example if one has 2 lots of 1000 shares each and the later lot was purchased for div today. When you decide to sell one lot just after ex-div, you can stipulate you are selling the 1st lot which will meet the 45 “at risk” days rule.
