A lot of the commentary and overblown or alarmist commentary here is really silly stuff.

Th announcement about the scoping study will be fairly reserved as usual because the ASX & ASIC won't let them say much in terms of forward looking statements even if they are bloody fantastic. At a SS stage they can't release projected financials IRR, NPV's or ROI's. They can't even do that at PFS stage these days, since new guidelines were issued in the last year or so. The reason is that the regulators think it is their duty (misguided or not) and their responsibility to protect investors from themselves and think they can outlaw risk. This over-regulation and announcement censorship is an over reaction from too many whinging punters who want guaranteed returns when the market goes down (they think punting on spec stocks should be like taking money out of an ATM), yet want to have unlimited upside when the market goes up.

Investing in spec explorers and miners needs patience and understanding and is not like punting at the races or putting ones money in a credit union or building society.

My expectations of the SS announcement is merely another incremental step along the way into better defining the work that needs to be done to exploit this large resource. No more no less. It won't be something a punter can cash in immediately.
