Ha diligent,seems to me that you may have been catching up with some history reading recently.
Most of us have been there too. Try Alexander Solzhenitsyn and 'Gulag Archipelago'. It was a very compelling and informative read back in the mid 70's when it was popular.
If you ever want to know the real reason why the Gulags were created let me know.Perhaps when you are at it you could also read up on Auchwitz etc,better still visit the place like i did.
