    Dilligent,
My congratulations on the most moderate post I have read from you. I am sure you are are genuine in your beliefs just as I am in mine. But it doesnt mean either of us is right.

On the matter of WW2 there was a difference. Germany and its allies invaded other countries and the Japanese hit Pearl Harbor. Britain and its allies were on the high moral ground as they were providing a defence against an invader. Afghanistan was justified due to the Al Quaida being based there and 9/11 and was sanctioned by the United Nations. Iraq was invaded under a false premise that is, WMDs. If Saddam was the issue, then the US would take out all the despots of the world instead of supporting some of them. Ironically Saddam was one of those the US supported. War should always be a last resort and only occur in self defence. If someone has got or is developing WMDs who shoudnt have them then the issue can be dealt with by the super powers through the United Nations. And there needs to be proof positive before an attack on any country.

Bush has lost the respect of the American people. A clear majority do not support the US being in IRAQ. Many Americans feel they were misled as to the reason for the invasion.

I support the fight against all dictators and usually the fight will occur from within. If another country is to intervene it should only occur under the auspices of the United Nations.

    SAV
