There needs to be some legislative changes. Going very big short then issuing a sell report is like owning a money printing machine. Similar to shorting Lithium then issuing oversupply reports etc.
The ACCC should prevent Companies being both a trader and advisor. It helps prevents conflicts such as these, It goes the other way as well. Buy big then issue a buy rec. Retail holders are always the biggest losers.
Look what happened when the Banks bought financial planning/Advising firms - the RC had a few things to say about that.
