Range resources will be spudding the first well in Puntland in over 17 years. The material required left the UAE on March 26 in 12 container ships. Digging for the first well is set for July 2008.
Range has a 20-year development plane and profit-sharing agreement with the Puntland government and Africa Oil. Range remains a speculative buy. Any oil found and developed will launch this stock.
