Alas, the sounds of morals dying, the sounds of democracy being jack-boot crushed, the sounds of justice strangled, the sounds of freedom garrotted, the sounds of reason muffled, the sounds of an empire collapsing, are far less audible but, nonetheless as vital as human blood. Try tuning in to those sounds. They are certainly there.
