    hi catlover,

sorry carla's still not been located.

maybe telling you to suck eggs here matey but have you tried the quiet of the night with a good ear ? if carla is used to biccies then take some out and rattle them in her usual pot. wait and listen for a meow. do this near to sheds etc of neighbours. if not biccies then call her and wait/listen vey carefully. was she a car cat, ie, did she venture into cars and maybe gotton carried away ? have you looked up trees to see if she has got trapped up one (maybe chased up by a dog) ? this is common. also possible, she could have got trapped in a fence/wire/pipe/drain or such things. a cat can hang in there for days, so the quiet of the night and listening for a meow is well worth a try. never give up on her. i had a puds missing for 10 days. day 1 i located a meow but not her. then no more meows. she returned with a badly broken leg. poss trapped herself somehow and later shook herself free. then of course she couldn't walk until the leg had healed a bit. when she returned home i found her in the garden crying and very dehydrated. we had not given up on her having tried daily covering the campo systematically in the search. it turned out she had crawled well inside a land storm drain under a factory just 50 mtrs from our house. the moisture having saved her. a few days later her leg was rebroken and set properly. that was a few yrs ago and she's fine now apart from liver and other usual cat probs which we can sort. she's now known as 'peg leg stell' her name being stella cos a the star of white on her face.

looking forward to hearing carla's ok.

my heart goes out to you and carla.

    40.
