Baron and Dingo - I share your sentiments.....I have managed to take leave for the first time in a couple of years and the bride thought it'd be great because I'd be cooking, cleaning, and generally doing everything she would normally do whilst I'm working all the time........she got home today and enquired into why the same clothes were hanging on the line and dinner wasn't my otherwise usual standard.....It is very hard to convince someone exactly (1) how addictive it is to simply watch the monitor in hope and anticipation of something moving one half of a cent, (2) exactly how that one half a cent can extrapolate into several thousands of dollars, (3) how stressful that is, (4) why if I walk away from the screen I might miss something and lose some serious coin, which she would therefore require even more detailed an explanation.......one thing though, being a newbie, I have a trading account with NAB, it's a casual account, costs $30 a trade, no monthly costs, but everything is 20 minutes delayed......today I was at a mates place, he utilises ANZ E-Trade, no monthly costs, $30 a trade, but has live streaming data, including market depth, which I have learnt rather quickly is extremely important, especially for day-trading..........another mate utilises COMMSEC, which is equally as useful......I can get further info but it costs up to $77 a month extra, not that the $77 is onerous, but if one doesn't have to pay it, why should I????....

Can either one of you lads recommend a better trading platform???
