No one is going to take over ABY. It is a controlled entity of a parent company that holds 50.1% of the stock.
Part of the reason this stock has not performed as per an unhedged copper producer is because of this fact. A related reason is the poor management. Witness the current appointment of a new CEO with no experience whatsoever in running a mining company, let alone a copper producer.
ABY is fun to trade, but it's not an investment-grade company.
