When they decided on the positioning of Tiof 2 the 3d seismic did not cover the area so they decided on an aggressive step out distance of 8km looking for the edge of the field, instead they found a 122m oil column which is hardly indicitave of an edge IMHO.
This sand channel runs out from the coast, who knows where the deposit edge is, at the very least one could say if it looks like an elephant it usually is an elephant.
