As an ex-Christian, I belive Jesus was way ahead of his times. He moved on from the wrathfull God to loving your brother as your self.
Do we need another Jesus to move us on to the next step in moral development which sadly seems not to have kept up with our other advancements.
It is sad that we cannot change without a major catalyst. History suggests we will get one, whether it be pestllence, war or something else.
