Tetraflex third generation lens, now called Omnifocal, which is in clinical trials is the best of the IOL's out there for the pure reason people don't have to wera glasses(which others you do) and vision correction to focus on close and distant objects and that is called accommodating lens.
You say AOS has only received 70K in royalties with 30 odd coutries using it. Well, you are a bit incorrect because it's still in clinical trials in China, not yet approved. Product registration is in progress in Taiwan, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Is expected for commercialisation in these countries in 2007. I don't know if that's been done yet! (You may find that out for me)
Europe - UK, Spain, Belgium Czech Republic,Greece, Sth Africa have recently been launched. (Last Year)
US launch is expected in 2008!
