Can't see other technologies outpacing lithium supplies, there's lots of Lithium around and has been discussed in the past the realization of where we are heading as not really taken hold, when it does supplies will rapidly increase by fastracking methods. Not forgetting the growing number of giga factories all tooled up for Lithium ion batteries. Other technology, hydrogen is a fossil fuel and is not really in the running, complicated. Sodium is probably the closest competitor with as much seawater as required but still in very early stages. As you conclude weight is paramount with lithium being the lightest metal. I reckon we are good for the next 20 years. imo
