There was also reference to Aussie BB having financial difficulty (in AusNog presentation) when they expanded their presence to to all POI's, they are the only ones im confident have made the cut now (they have a reputation giving them a premium)
Southern Phones i think will make it, they are non-profit, owned by councils, so they dont need commercial returns.
I dont see how any of these regional WiFi companies can compete with NBN Wifi as its subsidised by metro users.
My Republic are the biggest reseller only RSP that im not sure about, they are trying to undercut everyone else on price, their unlimited NBN50 plan is $63, but Amaysim gave up at $70
To survive, the smaller companies need an advantage somehow.
Unfortunately this shake-out effects our wholesale operation, which i think was reflected in the quarters poor ACCC reported results.
It will be interesting to see this halves breakdown between retail and wholesale NBN customers.
