re: two signs in perth Pigofsteel,
Thanks for the reply but I no longer live in perth.
My point is that Lumacom has in the past and quite often announced deals which never eventuated.
In the last 6 months it has made more promises of deals but I havent seen anything really eventuate yet.
Look at this announcement of nearly 2 years ago...it sounds very similar to announcements made 12 mnths ago and 6 months ago...expect now lumacom is talking about 50 signs in europe instead of 30 it said 6 months ago.
If you beleived everything that Lumacom put out...or even half of what they put out you would be quite dissapointed in the end results.
They seem to be spruking the same old story over and over....
At the end of the day how many signs have actually been built so far....3 in 4 years???

ACTIVITIES STATEMENT
The Company's focus in the March quarter centred on the launch of its
products and technology in markets around the world, including the
following:
UNITED STATES
The Boshe Group, a renowned business and marketing consultancy, was
appointed in October 2001 to coordinate the planning and
implementation of the Company's entry to the lucrative US market. A
local US office is being established to facilitate and progress
alliance discussions with local US sign companies, advertising
industry specialists, architects, building owners and local
manufacturers. Strong interest in Lumacom's LumaPanel system is being
shown and several project proposals are currently being developed.
AUSTRALIA
Promotion of roof-top signage systems is progressing with national
companies for corporate-style signage. As announced previously, the
first of such sign orders for an Adelaide hotel chain has been
received, with the project currently awaiting council approval This
particular application of LumaSigns has been positively embraced. The
Company is continuing to develop the application of its LumaSign
systems to the outdoor bill-board market.
SOUTH EAST ASIA
A number of LumaPanel proposals for use in outdoor advertising
networks are currently being negotiated through Lumacom's Kuala
Lumpur, Malaysia based office. The proposed commercial arrangements
vary by client, but typically include outright sale of the signs and
an ongoing share in advertising revenue for Lumacom.
TAIWAN & CHINA
The Company's Taipei-based licensee is currently in the process of
carrying out manufacturing sample production This will place it as a
strategic partner in the supply of LumaSigns within the region, as
both a production manufacturer to Lumacom as well as a seller of
systems built under licence, with Lumacom being the exclusive
supplier of its proprietary and patented "chip module" hardware.
The Company is also endeavouring to penetrate the enormous Chinese
market, with a number of encouraging leads developing within the
outdoor advertising and roof-top corporate branding sector of the
industry.
An office is being established in Flong Kong to service transactions
involving the supply of product through Taiwan to customers
internationally.
UNITED KINGDOM
A strategy for the launch of Lumacom's products into the UK has been
formulated, and the appointment of an independent marketing
specialist has been made. Entry promotion into this market is
underway.
MIDDLE EAST
Negotiations with potential alliance partners and end-user customers
are continuing in the region. The Middle East sector, particularly
Dubai, is expected to generate good results for the Lumacom product
range.
GENERAL
Commercialisation of the Company's technology and product range has
been slower and mow difficult than the Company anticipated when it
listed on ASX almost two years ago. However, indications are emerging
that the unique features of the Company's products, together with the
significant cost advantages they offer, are beginning to be
recognised around the world.
