getting gas out of coal seams isn't as simple as doing a corehole, then a pilot etc.
If it were, ESG would be $1+ long ago based on their claims.
All I am saying is it is high risk: high reward. I think some see ESG as an undiscovered gem. Trust me, everyone knows the claims from management and many (with years) in the industry are very sceptical about it given their location and geology.
ESG need to prove the gas is there in commercial quantities. So far it is not from their 2p reserve report last year.
That's not to say ESG won't be dragged along as the csm sector continues to be re-valuated.
