Rohop
That's the second time you posted that statistic, and as I'm sure your aware, statistics can me misleading.
1- The vote yesterday for Jayne had nothing to do with her being MD. It was a vote electing her to be on the board. All ceos are on boards In America and Au, there seemed to be a questIon about If thats true In NZ by our chaIrman. A no vote would have enden her tenure wIth us.
2 As we have a large institutional ownership, of course they would vote the MD on the board. Many of these institutions are at the heart of 40 plus million short positions. Jayne has been very good to them so far, wouldn't u agree?
3 The vote took place prior to her informing us little guys she's selling again. Before! Do u think the number would have been the same if that was disclosed prior to?
4 Our board who created the problem in the first place unanimously endorsed her for the role.
5 again,( and I don't know the numbers on the vote for an average 30% board increase in pay) was also done prior to her disclosure. Do u think whatever the final numbers were that they may have decreased if the disclosure was prior?
I voted for her to be on the board.
I voted against the pay increase
But as I told you before, there is voting by proxy or online at a agm for many issues and the shareholders spoke with their votes
By far the bigger issue is how the shareholders voted with their buys and sells.
Down 11.3% from the top to her disclosure Bit over 10 mil votes in fact.
So I'll ask you the same question you asked. Do they know something we don't?
Let it go was how I felt before watching that video( please watch it if you havnt)
I wonder if we had a vote on what she said vs what she has done and will do would yield a number similar to the one your quoting as it related to her honesty, openness, shareholders value, etc.
I'd also be interested to have a vote on what percentage of shareholder thought the agm was a success, what percentage thought it was an amateur failure.
When the meeting started we were up almost 4 percent, yes down from 7. By the end of the meeting, we were down almost 2 percent. That's certainly an indication of what the result would look like don't u agree?
Worst part of all of this nonsense is we reported good numbers, possibly weak guidance if you can read tea leaves, lower forward ebida etc
I believe I have stated all facts, am very open to where I'm off. I'd so like to be wrong on all of this crap.
with respect
