I wish you luck in this sector. I was contemplating WOR/MND based on its 'largeness' with more potential to survive the bad times. I have not dip my toes in yet because I fear more volatility in the equity markets for the next few months. 1 very bad month of October especially will require many months of recovery assuming there is one!

The problem with research when money has gone in is confirmation bias. No one buys on pessimism or sell on optimism. Sometimes timing is what it takes and the hardest part especially punting on the small end of town. Riding with market sentiment in euphoria is the easy bit. Once the investor thinks it is easy and moonshot will not end, that is when they get into trouble, greed and fear. I have been there many times in the past and once you get used to a nice trend rally, all sorts of supporting evidence to support one's justification suddenly pops out. Once the tapering starts I can find all the reasons why it is either a correction/manipulation/blah blah. Take away trying to be right and objective comes back into play.

To add on the dangers of this sector, LLC recently tried to flog off its engineering division and they smashed the valuation. I held that bloody stock since 2004, rode it up then down to the pits and decide to get out somewhere in 2014/15. I missed the additional run but just when I thought it couldn't do much wrong, it is back to circa my exit price!

WAM and its stables is probably an alternate route to direct index exposure though etf. I am thinking BBOZ/BBUS as a hedge BUT I am also very interested an etf exposed to EM particularly China. US equities have a lot to lose and China's have a lot to gain eventually.

Currently I decide to be a seller in Oct volatility besides some defensive and exotic sectors. It's all a waiting game although to be honest I am not sure what triggers to probe me to start looking. Very patiently waiting in the healthcare sector and would you believe it TLS/MYR. The latter when you see My Lew spending months thrashing it and it stays well supported, I was hoping closer to the base to buy. Taking off since yesterday.

MLD as I was objectively observing will have a higher odds finding that base before it can recover. I feel for RCR holders especially if they took up that cap raise. Management should be haul up to the authorities to explain themselves. Good luck with your other exposure.

P/s Regarding RSG, my initial TA read came into play eventually. Unfortunately I pulled the trigger from an earlier weekly reversal signal, no regrets there and will hang on to it. As you put it that 6C above the price at the time was the timing I was after but unfortunately hindsight is a good determinant to re-evaluate entries.
